I wish to apply for the post of a Junior Clerk recently advertised in the columns of " The Hindustan Times". I beg to submit the following particulars about my qualifications and experience:
I am a young man of 22 years of age with sound physique and a wide capacity of work.
I hold the Commercial Diploma having passed this Examination from Delhi. My typing speed is 45 words a minute. I have also taken a course in Shorthand and secured a "Pitman's Shorthand Certificate" for 80 words a minute.
I hold two years' experience of working as a junior clerk in the Messrs. Rajendra and Sheetal Watch Co. and am familiar with every type of clerical work. I am leaving the present establishment on account of the temporary nature of the job.
I enclose a copy of my Govt. Commercial Diploma and a testimonial from my present employers relating to my character and efficiency.

Thereafter I acted as a Salesman with Messrs. Vijay Saluja and Co. and toured considerable area of Northern India advertising goods manufactured by the aforementioned firm. This job helped me acquire a fairly good experience in dealing with people.
The company had to dispense with my services, compelled as they were by force of circumstances to economize owing to the colossal depression in their business.
I am confident that my qualifications and experience plus my grit for hard work and love for dedicated application to duty will certainly arouse your interest in me and you will favor me with an opportunity to demonstrate my suitability for the job.
